Talus is building interactive, web-based decision support dashboards to support influenza outbreak response on behalf of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO). These tools directly inform senior leadership decisions at CDC and help prioritize support for those engaged in outbreak preparedness and response.

During a large-scale disease outbreak, or even during a severe flu season, Federal public health officials need nationwide visibility on the status of the healthcare system and the outbreak itself to inform the public health response. An informed response requires a system to integrate and communicate data from partners in state health departments and health care facilities alongside federally owned datasets, including public health disease surveillance. Talus is building an integrated visualization platform, built on a common structure, to collate and integrate these health surveillance and healthcare system data into interactive maps and analysis directly designed to support senior leadership decision making and inform efforts to triage patient care and reinforce capacity of the healthcare system.
